In my reflections on my 2025 reading, I put together a challenge to help me keep on track with the goals I have for my reading.

I am not trying to be perfect with the challenge and just see it as a way to ensure I am focused on what I want to read! Each month, I will do a recap on the blog.
Here’s how I did in March, which was the first month in which I didn’t get to some of the challenge categories with all of my travels. Oh well, I will try to do a better job next month as I am not planning on any trips right now! To read reviews of all of these books, check out my Goodreads!

With an upcoming trip to Vienna this summer, this book and the first in the series that I read last month (The Accidental Empress) were perfect! I learned so much about Sisi’s unhappy life in Vienna, and I cannot wait to visit the Sisi museum and her palaces while we are there!

I really enjoyed getting to know Rosalynn Carter for my First Ladies project this month. She is the first First Lady that I remember!
Be sure to read my Booking It Through History: First Ladies post about her!

I loved listening to Jimmy Carter tell his life story in his own voice in this Grammy award-winning autobiography. I especially loved hearing him talk about his “Rosa,” his nickname for his wife.

I am almost finished with this lovely book about the wonders of reading. I especially like her lists of must-read books! Any fellow book lover needs to put this on your TBR list!

I started this book on Ash Wednesday and just finished it at Easter. It’s meant to be read slowly, and I loved how Tsh included song recommendations along with the daily readings. Buy it now for next year’s Lenten season!
I am reading The Bible Is For You slowly along with The Bible Recap (see below).

I am keeping up with this daily reading/podcast and have finished 7 books of the Bible. I got behind by a few days, but the Dwell app makes it easy to catch up!

I was hoping to finish it this month, but it’s too big to take on trips with me! I am almost done and will post a full review on Goodreads.
And I saw that the movie is coming back to Regal theaters in October!

Allison has become a favorite author – this is her third book in this post! I loved her latest book based on the life of an early 20th century model and starlet. It had so many great historical details about the time period! Be sure to read my full review here.
The categories I didn’t get to this month were:

Do you have any reading goals for 2026? I’d love to hear about them!
