Reading Challenge Update – October 2026

In my reflections on my 2025 reading, I put together a challenge to help me keep on track with the goals I have for my reading.

I am not trying to be perfect with the challenge and just see it as a way to ensure I am focused on what I want to read! Each month, I will do a recap on the blog.

Here’s how I did in October. To read reviews of all of these books, check out my Goodreads!

I had planned on a book set in San Francisco, but I had to cancel that trip so it doesn’t count! I am rereading Outlander in anticipation of a summer trip to Scotland. I am tandem reading it – both in print and as an audiobook. I just love the narrator!

The definitive book on first ladies! It has so many fascinating historical details and insider stories!

I love both of these authors, so I couldn’t wait to read their latest novels. Both are five-star reads!

Set in Boston in the lead up to the Boston Tea Party, this is a sweet novel with great historical details.

I am officially on the bandwagon for Meyer’s Timeless series. The third book is just as great as the first two, dealing with the hard subject of the Salem Witch Trials. They are all excellent!

I have had this on my Kindle since its release in 2019. I’ve read many stories about WWII and female SOE agents, and this one has some great tension and suspense.

One of my favorite classics, this sweet romance deserved a reread, especially since 2026 marks the 100th anniversary of the novel! And I paired it with a modern-day retelling that was (almost) as lovely.

Everyone was right! This book series is delightful! I am excited to continue with the second book.

I love etiquette books, and this updated one is perfect for the modern world. I met Alison on her book tour, and she is lovely!

I am reading The Bible Is For You slowly along with The Bible Recap (see below).

We are deep into the Gospels, and it’s been so meaningful. I love reading chronologically so I can read the same story in all four Gospels at the same time.

Do you have any reading goals for 2026? I’d love to hear about them!

Success! You're on the list.
